The Morelin Hybrid series was considered one of the best stand-alone series ever made. Now it got its successor, the Hybrid Ovation II. At the heart of the series are several innovative structures and materials. For example, Hexatech? a voice coil and a double magnet made of neodymium and ferrite provide an exceptionally powerful motor for bass, even in a small size. The Acuflex coated MT-22 tweeter creates a warm and crystal clear sound and integrates well with the midbass and linear response of the series. The crossover frequency is incredibly fast for a 2-way discrete series, 1800Hz!
The body of the super-rugged bass element is UniFLOW technology developed by Morel. Not only does it look great but gives the bass a very stable and sturdy body. Bass playback extends very down. The MX-22.4 crossover filter included in the series is made of very high quality components, air core coils, plastic capacitors, treble level adjustments and an alternative crossover steepness (6dB or 12dB). All the features together enable a great sound picture, resolution and dynamics for a wide variety of installations.
