HECO Victa Prime 202 tripod speaker
HECO sets itself high standards for the dynamic distortion-free reproduction of an acoustic signal, whether it is music or the soundtrack of a movie. All new entrants to the HECO product line must also meet these requirements. Indeed, the latest generation of HECO's ever-evolving Victa series, Victa Prime, increasingly shares design, features and structural details with the high-end speakers in the range. High-quality speaker elements are the foundation of sound quality, and Victa Prime plays a key role in compressed membranes made of long-fiber paper and inverted dust cups. The frames of the speaker elements are considerably stiffer in construction than their predecessors, and in addition they are attached to the speaker housing with eight screws (on models 202 and the center speakers with six screws). In terms of sound quality, high-quality ferrite magnets used in the elements as well as large-sized voice coils have also been selected. Ferrofluid cooling of a 25 mm silk dome type tweeter element improves power endurance. The curved walls of the speaker housing are made of superimposed laminated MDF layers, and are thus more robust and thus effectively lower the resonant frequency.
In addition to the factory-installed rubber feet, the floor-standing speakers are also supplied with height-adjustable spikes, which use the speaker to rise slightly from the floor surface, while reducing bass reproduction.
The collection is complemented by a magnetically shielded center speaker and an active subwoofer, which means that enjoying multi-channel playback is also possible at the Victa Prime level!
“The Heco sounds orthodox in its sound, and its bass reproduction is clearly deeper than the size of the speaker suggests. The sound is natural and for the first time in this test arrangement sounds entirely real.
Heco is able to reproduce with honor not only dynamic recordings but also more acoustically tuned discs, with which the Victa Prime 202 speaker pair more or less beats the comparison of all the other participants ” AVPlus Magazine Cheap Stand Speakers Comparison 4/2017 Read the article here .
