HECO Celan GT Center 42, high quality center speaker.
In the name of HECO Celan GT, the letters GT come from the words “Generation Three,” the third generation. Since its release, the speaker has fascinated music enthusiasts from all over the world, bringing them back to the heart of their beloved hobby; to enjoy music in all its forms. The certainty that the previous generations of the speaker brought about the functionality of the design concept was taken into consideration in each part of the speaker, further improving some features and completely redesigning some aspects. The goal of the redesign was to improve the dynamics, while keeping the sound alive and well.

Celan GT's High Energy treble is a completely new design. Its first specialty is the 30mm size, which is one inch larger than the general one. Its oversized suspension and Dome cone are shaped and engineered into a single unit that improves the integration of the treble area into the biscuit range as well as playback compared to traditional treble, especially at the lower limit of the playback range. Reducing the moving mass allows the crystal to reproduce even the highest sounds. The copper rings on the magnet significantly reduce the already low distortion. To prevent edge reflections, a short direction is milled into the precision machined aluminum flange of the treble. The treble crossover frequency is set to 3000 Hz.
HECO's Celan GT Series 3-way models 702 and 902 use the same advanced 6.5 ”midrange element with a sturdy kraft paper cone, lightweight dust cup, coated textile suspension and a 25 mm voice coil. The kraft paper was selected as a cone material based on its natural color and tone as much as possible. The lower midrange and bass end of the GT 702 are taken care of by a 170 mm diameter and the GT 902 by an eight-inch kraft paper cone with a large 32 mm voice coil. Whether it's a midrange, subwoofer or bass element, they all use a solid aluminum casting frame and a very linear voice coil / magnet combination.
The sturdy elements used in the Celan GT series are mounted in skilfully designed and manufactured mdf enclosures. The curved side walls of the speaker enclosures effectively eliminate both reflections and the so-called standing waves. The curved design, together with the reinforcements and crossmembers used inside the case, further strengthens the speaker. In addition to solidity, attention has also been paid to the valuable appearance in the design. Thus, the speakers with a Piano Espresso surface use genuine wood veneer, which is hand-finished with several coats of varnish. In addition to Espresso, the speakers are also available in a luxurious black or modern white piano lacquer finish, as well as an ash black wood veneer finish. The speakers come with both rubber feet and height-adjustable spike legs to get the speakers off the floor.
All Celan GT series speakers work on the bass reflex principle. In addition to the large and clearly marked connector panel typical of HECO, the aluminum reflex tubes are attached to the back of the housing. The connector panels use sturdy and high-quality gold-plated connectors that enable double wiring, to which the speaker wires can be connected either bare or with banana or fork connectors. Both linear 0 dB and +2 dB terminals are available to adjust the treble reproduction. After the terminals, the signal is routed from the components that meet HECO's strict quality criteria through passive crossover filters assembled to the treble and midrange / bass elements.
