HECO AMBIENT 5.1A When form and functionality meet.
AvPlus Magazine 2/2017 "In movie playback, the series is one of the best ready-made series we've heard. The A set is like a singer who is so experienced that he dares to carry his voice without spaghetti and the jewelery patterns that he has learned.
Even when listening to music, the Heco series goes a long way, although of course it does not replace a pair of hi-fi speakers in the same price range. However, few buy a home theater primarily for hi-fi but for watching movies. If you want better home theater sound, the Heco Ambient 5.1A is a very worthwhile option.

The HECO Ambient 5.1A home theater speaker set is a great indication that even an eye-catching design speaker can sound good! Four compact satellite speakers, a center speaker and a free-standing active subwoofer are easy to position discreetly and to suit the interior. A closer look at the quality of the speaker materials will become apparent. The cases are brushed aluminum with a low renon frequency and the front and back panels have a sophisticated black piano lacquer finish. The sturdy legs are six millimeters thick tempered glass and there are sturdy gold-plated screw terminals for attaching the speaker wires.
However, the inner beauty in a speaker is what determines the sound quality. Thus, the satellites in the Ambient series have been designed without compromising on HECO's more expensive speakers, utilizing familiar materials and following principles. The 2-way speakers consist of a 20 mm Dome treble, and a 3.5 ”midrange. Signs of the wide range of operation of the midrange element include a sturdy voice coil, a long suspension that allows long trajectory, and a lightweight film pressed from long-fiber paper. In the center speaker, these elements are magnetically shielded in two pieces. In addition to the glass base, the satellites can also be mounted either on the wall with the included wall brackets or on the optional HECO Ambient Stand 1 stands.
The 8 ”active subwoofer, which reproduces the lowest frequencies, has a sophisticated piano lacquer finish and is implemented on a“ downfire ”principle. Versatile adjustments, such as phase inversion, as well as crossover and level adjustments, make placement and adaptation to other speakers easier. The acoustic consistency of the entire series has been ensured by Klippel® measurements using laser technology in HECO's own laboratory, using both music and film material.
