Alpine Electronics Inc. or more commonly known as “Alpine” is a Japanese electronics manufacturer founded in 1967 that specializes in car hi-fi and navigation systems.
While about 80% of Alpine's sales are contract manufacturing for well-known car brands such as Audi, BMW, Honda, Mercedes, Dodge and Jaguar. Many car brands also offer Alpine players without their own branding or co-branding. Electronics made by Alpine can usually be found in the more expensive categories of brands such as the BMW 5 Series and the Mercedes-Benz E and S Series, as well as GL SUVs.
Alpine offers a particularly wide range of car-specific instruments, which is due to Alpine's very good cooperation with various car brands in contract manufacturing.
